Reimbursement of Tuition Fees for SC/ST/OBC/MIN students is an initiative by the Delhi Government to ensure a better education for minority students. The scheme aims to provide reimbursement of the tuition and other compulsory fees to the financially weak students in recognized public sector schools in Delhi. There are certain eligibility criteria under the scheme, and whoever fulfills all conditions is eligible for the reimbursement of the tuition fees.

Eligibility:


1.) Family income should not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lakh per Annum, for family income latest salary slip in the parent/guardian in Government service. The income certificate issued by Delhi’s competent authorities in case of Parent/Guardian engaged in private job/service/other professions valid at the time of submission of application requires uploading.

2.) The applicant should be a resident of Delhi for the past three years.

3.) The applicant should belong to SC/ST/OBC/Minority community.

4.) The applicant should not be receiving any other scholarship.
 
5.) The applicant should be studying class 1 to 12 in a school recognize/affiliated with the Department of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi / Municipal local bodies of Delhi.

6.) Applicants studying in classes 6 to 12 should be scoring 50% and above marks and having not less than 80% attendance in the preceding year.

7.) Repeaters in a particular class will not be eligible for such benefits.


Benefits:

* A 100% tuition fee reimbursement for students with total annual family income up to INR 60,000.
* A 75% tuition fee reimbursement for students with total annual family income above INR 60,000 but below INR 2 Lakh.

Documents Required:

1.) Complete application form.

2.) Resident proof (EPIC card, Ration Card, Aadhar Number, Landline telephone bill by MTNL, Domicile certificate issued by SDM, Driving License issued by GNCTD, or Bank passbook of Nationalize banks.)

3.) In case of minority student, a declaration by parent/guardian on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10.

4.) An attested copy of Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) in student’s/father’s name issued by SDM/Deputy Commissioner.

5.) Original fee receipt

6.) Salary slip in case the parent/guardian is a government employee and Income certificate by SDM of Delhi if the parent/guardian is self-employed or working in the private sector.

7.) Previous year mark sheets (only for students in class 6 to 12)

8.) Aadhar Card

9.) Bank details of students (Aadhaar seeded)

10.) Verification letter (for outside Delhi application)


Every year fresh forms are released on the official websites, and students are required to submit their forms to the respective school/principal below the final deadline. Students can also apply online on the E-district portal by following these steps:

Step 1: Open the E-district portal.

Step 2: Login using existing credentials or register as a new user.

Step 3: Provide all the relevant details and follow the instructions.

Step 4: Select the scholarship scheme and upload the required documents.

Step 5: Submit the application.

Needy and eligible students should apply and avail benefits provided by the government for their welfare.
