The lockdown started across the country on 24 March 2020 due to COVID-19, an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. The poorest sections of society are the most affected segment from the lockdown. Most of the people are unable to earn any income due to lockdown and struggling even for the basic needs of livelihood, such as food, shelter, and health. Low-income families living in urban-shanty towns are also unable to earn income for food during the period. Now, they are dependent either on government support or private charity for these basic needs. Although the government has been supporting a lot and providing food to people since the first day of lockdown, we should also help these people. As these less fortunate people are part of our nation, its time to stand up and help these people provide food during the pandemic. Let’s contribute to satiate the hunger of these pandemic affected people. Our one-step will enable them to survive their lives during the period.
